The Brink of Autumn

There's something so special about Autumn. Between the crunch of leaves under my boots and the gusts of wind that move the brightly colored trees, Autumn lifts my spirits after a hot, dry summer. And it was a hot one, Oregon barely had a spring before summer slammed into us head first. It was the driest July on record in 119 years! The climate didn't force us into triple digits but it was a long, dry spring and summer.

Now the tips of leaves are starting to deepen in color, the rain is visiting more often and fall photo sessions are right around the corner! These are truly some of my favorites of the year. Photo subjects are typically more comfortable in the cooler temperatures and have more fun in the falling leaves. The backgrounds are gorgeous and the sun sets a bit early so the golden hour won't be as late as in the summertime. Finally, Autumn photo sessions provide a great opportunity to capture Christmas card material and yearly photos of the kids while the weather is still somewhat kind to us!

In honor of my favorite season, I'm providing a special for Family Photo Sessions. These sessions are normally $175 but for the months of September, October and November, you can have a Fall Family Photo Session for $155! Just book by September 15th to lock in the discount! Please contact me with any questions or booking requests. To kick off the season, here are some of my favorites from past Fall Family Photo Sessions:
